2009 Duboeuf Julienas La Trinquee

Haven't bought a Duboeuf Beaujolais in some time. Found this at Costco for $9.99 and went to it for din-din tonight of sausage and bow-tie pasta with peppers.

Better than expected, without the banana-flavored yeast that once characterized his wines. Nice familiar Beaujolais nose but darker in the glass than I expected, jammy on the palate without being syrupy, quite nice and light with a moderate finish. She liked it so I'll buy again. 13% alc/vol.

I've drankmore than a few bottles of Beaujoulais while in France this year. Such great value for decent wines to the point I struggled to pay 3x for an entry level village burgundy or bourgogne....
