Rated 93 – This is the estate’s Riserva Pinot Nero. From the Mazzon vineyard site, the 2012 Alto Adige Blauburgunder Mazzon offers deep lines and a good intensity. The wine presents pretty aromas of dried cherry, balsam herb, cola and toasted almond. This is a classic interpretation of Pinot Noir (aged in oak for 18 months) that offers good balance and freshness with enormous finesse and femininity. It shows impressive balance with crisp lines and a long, silky finish.
