Rated 91-93 – The second wine of Château Haut-Batailley, the 2018 Château Haut-Batailley Verso is a pretty, elegant wine that has lots of juicy black cherry and blackberry fruits, notes of spring flowers and graphite, medium body, good acidity, and a silky, elegant texture. This vintage is packed with thrilling second wines (I don’t envy the winemakers trying to make these selections!) and this is a serious, age-worthy wine well worth seeking out. – Jeb Dunnuck
