Rated 92 – (55% Pinot Meunier, 30% Chardonnay and 15% Pinot Noir; 7 g/l dosage): Vivid gold. Spice- and mineral-accented orchard fruits on the nose, with a hint of vanilla adding depth. Broad, fleshy pear and white peach flavors are lifted and sharpened by a note of ginger, showing very good clarity and back-end cut. The spicy quality repeats strongly on the incisive finish, which hangs on with mineral-driven tenacity. I’d have guessed that this had a lower dosage, no question. – Vinous.
