Succulent dark cherry, plum, leather, spice and tobacco add layers of nuance throughout. Although not especially complex, the 2016 is super-delicious. Homestead is a blend of Mourvedre, Grenache, Carignane, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon and is Big Basin’s entry-level Rhone red.
