Also known as iso-ascorbic acid, it is used to prevent oxidation of color and flavor in juice and wine.
German for "estate bottled". When this appears on a German wine label you are assured that the grapes were grown and the wine was produced by one and the same grower or cooperative of growers (Winzergenossenschaft). An alternative term is "Gutsabfüllung".
