Smack-Dab at the top of it's game. Dark ruby with light ruby rim. Cedar box, babers cocoa, and brite red fruits dominate.Gina really got this one rite. Solid entry, good center, and a long 4+-lapper finish. Drank way too many of these way too early. This bottle must have been the last one filled out of the barrel as I haven't seen this much sediment since some of the early Diamond Creeks. 90/96.17 by the box. 14.2% alc. WW

We had a neighbor once, Frank Babers, who was in the food business, but I don't think he dealt with cocoa.

Finally got to the end of this box today and the wine has held up remarkably well. Nose has expanded and the sediment hasn't receded but it is still a super drinking experience. Don't believe it can go anywhere but down. Seems slightly more deep-plummy than previous bottles. WW

I'm sure in a couple that an orphan or two will emerge from that "crawl space" you call a wine cellar....
