You have a right Herr Buckinheimer to brag on your Wash wineries. This is a superb wine that should get better with another 3-6 in the cool. Deep ruby, with red fruit, cassis, vanilla, and a touch of pine hitting the nose and palate.Big entry, heavyweight center and a 4&1/2 lapper finish. Definately a keeper. 92/88. 75 and no box.14.5% alc.WW

I quit buying QC, WW. They got too pricey and started turning up the oak. Others challenge them at a fraction of the cost. Here are a few:

Donedei, Cabernet Sauvignon, Columbia Valley, Washington, $36.

L'Ecole, Apogee, Pepper Bridge Vineyard, Walla Walla Valley, Washington, $41.

Waterbrook, Cabernet Sauvignon, Ciel du Cheval Vineyard, Red Mountain, Washington, $28.

Sandhill, Cabernet Sauvignon, Red Mountain, Washington, $25.

Kiona, Cabernet Sauvignon, Reserve, Red Mountain, Washington, $35.

Forgeron, Cabernet Sauvignon, Columbia Valley, Washington, $29.

When WW starts complimenting me, I start worrying.
