It's her b-day and she decided at the last minute she wanted BEEF (had been planning chicken). Had picked this up at Costco only this morning and wanted to try, so opened while the fire was burning down.... no time for decanting. Store-bought ribeyes, versus homegrown. Even so..... Nose of ripe red fruit, more of same on the palate, lip-smacking mouthfeel but drying tannins give a little pucker on the finish. Very nice. 14% alc/vol and about $25. Decent CdPs are available at half that price, but for a very fruity almost sweet version, this one stands alone in my experience. I'll buy a few more.
