'07 Pessagno Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir

2007 Pessagno, Lucia Highlands Vineyard, Santa Lucia Highlands, Estate Grown, Pinot Noir. Received as a gift a couple of years ago; right after release I believe. Alcohol level was 14.6%, but the wine was in such perfect balance that the alky was hardly noticeable. It was as nice as any American Pinot that we've ever had.

Matched with beef tenderloin en croute, glazed carrots, steamed asparagus with Hollandaise (real Hollandaise), and orange rolls with butter. Yum and yet another yum!
