Bought a half a box 6 weeks ago and couldn't resist opening one,...but should have.

Opaque black ruby that lightens at the rim. Scents of heath bar, vanilla and blackberry liquor. Like flavors with spicy blackberry dominating and very ample coarse tannins on the linguring finish. This wine was opened WAY too early and was closed tighter than WW's wallet when buying SW's. Will wait at least one year before opening another. 14.5% Alc/vol. $19.99

Wow, that 1 year turned into 6. Popped one last night and....delicious. Tannins have receeded to fine grain stature on the long finish. Same flavor profile with the addition of some blu fruit and earthy notes. Still youthful in appearance. Very enjoyable.

Killed alla' them babies long ago. And fer what'tis worth, buying SWs' for CB has never been a problem. I find I can spend up to 10 bucks a clatter for ANY of her favorites. WW

Eileen and I popped one last night after dinner to sip with a fire. This wine still looks completely youthful. Tannins are still fine grained and the wine is almost ATTOIG. spicy black fruits and blackberry with hints of toffee on the very long finish now. That's what I've always loved about these Pirramimma wines is that they're long agers that morph into really nice wines. Got a couple 00's left...then on to the 03's and 04's that are sleeping!
