I know that I'm gonna sound blase about this wine so I'm gonna start by saying that it was a pretty good wine, jut did not live up to its expectations, especially for the price.

This is the "blended" wine of Duckhorn, though I've always thought of duckhorn's wines as being blended due to the high percentage of higher varietals in say a Cabernet (Frankly when Calon Segur puts 92% Cab in its Bordeaux "blend", its more a pure cab than duckhorn)

slightly muted nose, some oak and berries but not a great nose, on the palate, lush, smooth, structured with red berries, berries, vanilla, some wood, not necessarily better than its standard bottles which I think are good also. Perhaps it was just mismatch of my expectations..

WW, for me, I like Duckhorn wines, though they seem to take their time to be ready. I'm just not sure that this wine warrantes a higher price than the others (other cabs, adn ther nice merlots...)when the others are just as good, if different.

I agree Eng. Since Dan sold the co it seems like the main theme seems to be "How Much " instead of " How Good". WW
