My only experience with Brandy is Corvousier (SP) VSOP Cognac, I have a bottle open and drink a glass once or twice a week.

I'm thinking about trying other brands and styles in the same general price range.

Any recomendations?

Remy Martin is on par for sure. I like Hine better than either of these. Harder to find, but the best of the lot for VSOPs is Marquis de Gensac Grande Champagne (IMO), and a steal at $23.

We mainly drink XO nowadays, but it is pricy. Courvoisier and Remy Martin lead the pack for my palate, although Marquis de Gensac Grande Champagne XO is pretty affordable for an XO at sixty bucks (Sam's has it for $57).

I actually really like Pierre Ferrand's selection des Anges (30 years old). It sells for about $100 a bottle and there are two lower priced and two higher priced versions that they have. the lowest is around $40 a bottle and the highest is something called Ancestral or something like that and it goes for $500+ a bottle. I've not had anything else in the range.

I second Pierre Ferrand..
Their basic and one step-up are affordable and excellent.

Torres 10-yr Spanish brandy is a little different and a bargain (around $20)
