100% Monastrell, Yecla. Clear dark ruby garnet. Jammy spicy raspberry with hints of port and licorice, very rich. Very oily in the mouth and full bodied. A little heat detected on the long finish showing hints of earth and bitters. A wonderful wine that I drank WAY too much of last night which showed in my golf game this morning . 14.5%Alc/vol. $9

Been drinking this wine off and on, (more on!), since this post and have purchased two cases. Did a little experiment where I popped a bottle and drank a little over 4 days. The wine kept getting better and refused to go south. The flavors remained rich with port and chambord hints enriching the experience. This is my '05 and maybe my '06 WOTY and I'm paying less than $8 per on a case buy. If you see this wine give it a try cause I'm bustin' all over. Parker hit the nail on the head with this one, FWIW.

Popped another last night. This wine continues to concentrate unlike any other wine I've experienced. Almost like a late harvest style now. Sweet but not cloying. Rich and powerful. Could only handle 1/2 a bottle. Nice on a cold evening with a very big moon. Will report on the other half soon.

Sounds like a best buy for $9. Have you tried more recent vintages?

Tried the 05 and wasn't impressed. Haven't seen the 06 yet.
