With chocolate sabayon (like a chocolate souffle) at Corduroy Restaurant, DC.
The port was about midway between ruby and amber in color. Fragrant nose--prune and ?
Lots of rich prune on the palate. A bit of apricot discernible in the mid-palate. Forms legs on the glass. Velvety smooth--no burn from the alcohol. I can see why Bucko and others like Niepoort. The chocolate sabayon (rich dark, semisweet chocolate) was served with hazelnut ice cream and hazelnut tuile.

One of the best 10 y/o Tawnies around IMHO.

On this producer Bucko and I are in complete agreement. Kind of like the moon aligning with the Black Sea during the running of the bulls and the turning of the shrew...

Foodie, are you mixing similies or titles or something? I've heard of "Taming of the Shrew" (Shakespeare) and "Turn of the Screw" (Henry James) but not "The Turning of the Shrew." (Or is that your WW typing skills coming out or just your sense of humor?)

You have to make allowances for Foodie. You see, he doesn't have an editor handy like when he's submitting a manuscript.

Trouble comes when I try to be cute with the unwashed masses...

Yes WOW, was trying to be funny by turning a screw, er, phrase on its head, er, a**!

KC is jellious that I can even locate a editor who will deel wid me.

Why should I be jealous? I don't have any literary works in the offing. Actually did some copy edit work for a newspaper way back when.
