- Innkeeper - 09-25-2004 N/V EMU, 999, Fine Tawney, Australian Port ($9.95 Can., Prov. Pkg. Store Grand Manan). First had this on our June trip up there, and enjoyed it so much we brought back two bottles on our August trip. This is a very pleasant drink when you just want some cheese and wine in the evening. Gives you globs of fruit and a 17.5% shot of alkeehole. Don't think it is available in the U.S.A., but if you can't find it, try Hardy's Whisker Blake Tawny N/V at slightly higher quality and price. After having our principal meal today at the HoJo's in Bangor, we enjoyed the "Port" tonight with some nice cheddar. Whisker's Blake is one of the world's great values IMHO. |
