- wondersofwine - 10-14-2009 This wasn't on the printed wine list of dessert wines but I heard the couple at the table next to me at Vin Rouge, Durham, NC, ordering it so I requested it also. It was expensive for one glass but that is to be expected with a 20-year old well regarded Chenin Blanc. Medium gold color with some transparency. Candied apricot, orange peel, light honey in the nose and/or flavors. Tangerine note on the finish. Sweet without being sugary. A rare treat for me. - newsguy - 10-14-2009 hey, WOW, when are you coming up to D.C. next? you know we have to finally share a bottle or two one of these days. this vouvray sounds delicious. how much was it by the glass? |
