Not vintage specific...
Rosenblum Contra Costa Zinfandel
Frog's Leap Zinfandel
Hartford Court Zinfandel

The Carneros/Lodi zin belt produces some outstanding wines. Lodi produces great value. Am I missing any obvious ones?

I don't know if this winery is an obvious omission but I'm very fond of Jessie's Grove.

My personal favorites for this varietal from Cali are mostly centered in the Sonoma area.....Scherrer, Swan, etc. WW

Look up Del Carlo, Dry Creek, Sonoma. A true up and coming Zinfandel producer.

WW, you'd like their Cabernet Sauv. too. Those two are all they produce. Right on the Dry Creek Road, not far from Teldeschi--in fact, Del Carlo's wife is a Teldeschi cousin.

Del Carlo family has grown grapes for generations, but they are just releasing their own wines. Old vine Zinfandels--heaven.

I agree with you: Sonoma for Zinfandels.

Love old vine zins.
