This was purchased last spring through the Fayetteville Wine Society at $17.55. The Vineyard is in St. Helena, CA.
15.7% alcohol by volume
Purple to black color; opaque.
Very fruity with bramble berries on nose and palate and a lengthy finish. Alcohol is somewhat noticeable but not as much as one might think. A mild earthiness underpins the fruit. Quite enjoyable with sausage and roasted vegetable pizza. Probably would complement barbeque ribs or buffalo chicken wings. The winery owners are from a family with 100 years in Napa Valley. Fruit is hand-picked and gently processed. Aged before release to be immediately accessible. A fun Zin that leaves a good first impression.

Dave Wight from Lewelling told me about this one a few years ago. I had forgotten completely about it until you just jogged my memory. I'll have to look up this one, also.
