2003 Dry Creek, Old Vine Zinfandel, Sonoma County, California, $25, 3,386 cases. Blackberries, raspberries, and warm spices make a lovely bouquet. The wine is full on the palate, with ripe, brambly fruit, blackberry jam, and chewy tannins that linger endlessly; 90/90.

Davids' seems to be on a roll. I love his 02 Meritage. Nice hearing from you again Herr Dockitor. Thot maybe you became entangled on a coral reef in the Adriatic. WW

Sought one out, purchased and popped one tonight on your recommendation. Eileen and I enjoyed very much and your notes are spot on. This zin displays the darker fruit and jammy side of zin. Delicious.

Glad you enjoyed it -- not everyone enjoys the jammy style, preferring the Claret style.
