1999 Rosenblum Oakley Vineyards Zin, San Francisco Bay appelation.

Deep purple color and reserved aromas of red fruit and black pepper. Rich ripe berry and plum flavors that border on jamminess, but retain a good balance of acidity. Smooth as silk with minimal tannins. Probably not a long ager, but a great barbecue zin for $10.99 that I paid.

That Kent Rosenblum sure do know how to make zins.
