Coming into its' own much faster than most wines from this great vineyard. Lush, soft fruit on the nose with sweet spices and both come thru on the palate. Medium ruby. Tannins are almost gone. This field blend of 66% Zin, 17% Carignane, and 17% Petite Sirah is normally one of the longest lived of the Ridge offerings. 88/86. 30 by the box. 14.9% alc. WW

2000 was supposed to be a good vintage for Zin, so I'm told, what gives?

How does I knows? I jes' calls 'em like I taste 'em. WW ( And I don't think my tasting
notes makes this sucker drain bait.)

Actually 01 was rated well with 00 hitting a low mark with both Bob and Spec. However, in my experience, I have found a lot more winners in 00. I'm getting to think more and more like everyone here and am trusting myslef instead of reading what others like.

Sweet! Reading is great, but it is all just opinion...
