- Thomas - 10-20-2004 Bogle. They don't make this stuff themselves at Bogle, but they sure know how to find good stuff at a decent price. For $12 this is a really fine product. Bramble, dark berries, great raspy finish. Its 14.5 alcohol makes up for the high pH, but that high pH (low acid) was a perfect foil for the last of my 2004 tomatoes as a sauce over cavatelli! The wine reminds me a lot of DiCastris Primitivo from Puglia. - Innkeeper - 10-20-2004 Agree completely. Posted on it on 9/23, below. Lovely wine for the price. - Drew - 10-20-2004 Great minds think alike...popped one two days ago and completely agree. Drew |
