- hotwine - 02-03-2005 Wow, the blast of fruit must be the source of the "incredible" in the name. Two hours later, have a hard time recalling the components, just that they were initially overwhelming, after savoring subtle cabs for a few days. But the fruit calmed down considerably an hour after pouring, leaving a nice flavor profile of spices. Consumed with pizza, 13.8% alc and $11 at World Market. I'll definitely decant the next one. - Innkeeper - 02-03-2005 Just don't ever visit their tasting room. Trying to make up your mind which of their barnfull of Zins you want is a chore. - winedope1 - 02-07-2005 I like this one a lot- have taken to keping it around to open for a casual meal with friends or by myself. Last bottle ran about $10. WD - GreggJ - 03-11-2005 I was reading this thread and coincidentally had a bottle earlier in the week. I must have had a bad bottle, it seem hollow and lacking any depth. Nose and fruit were nice but, it seemd to be lacking any weight or signifigant depth with a shallow finish. Still not all that bad for the $, but I feel there are better values out there. One being Rosenblum's Vitners Cuvee XXVII, and Boggle Old Vine's both run for the same $11. In all fairness, I may have gotten a bad bottle and I should probably give it another try but, this just seemed very lacking to me. my 2 Cents. |
