Snagged this one some months ago in the bargain basket. Dark garnet with evident bricking esp. at the rim which showed tints of orange. Very spicy nose of bright zin fruit and some candied creamy vanilla. Very focused flavors of zin berry, exotic spice and currant and some creamy oak. Still showing it's heat from the whopping 15.5% alcohol which left me a little fuzzy the other morning, and that was just 1/2 a bottle! It was a nice accompaniment with homemade traditional style of shrimp and sausage gumbo, Paul Prudommes(sp?) recipe. $10.99 on sale.

Great house, a.k.a. Arciero, just down the road from Tobin James and across from Eberle. Perfect zin country. Have some of their petite sirah in long time aging. Always stop by when out there. Beautiful tasting room
