Can someone suggest a moderately priced wine to go with Mexican food - most likely tacos, burritos, etc.

Hi BNB, and welcome to the Wine Board. My first choice is Portugese Dao (preferably reserva). If you can't come up with that in Boulder, try zinfandel (the red kind) or syrah/shiraz from the Rhone, or West Coast American for the first spelling, and Australia for the second.

Thanks for the info Innkeeper. Are the wines you suggested Red? I just searched the local Boulder liquor store (www.liquormart.com) and they have:

Alianca Vinho Tinto Reserva Dao 1996

Sogrape Vinhos de Portugal Grao Vasco Dao 1998

Are either of these what you recommended?

Thanks!

Hi BNB and welcome to the board. Tell whom-so-ever at Liquor Mart You'd like A Martini-Fratti 99 Zin or a Hendry Block 7 zin. They should have both of them suckers. WW

Both of the Daos would work. The Riserva sounds like the better wine (there are more of these than anyone could keep up with, believe it or not; regional importors the big reason). However, if there is a big price differencial that bothers you, go with the other.
