Harvest Moon was our wonderful discovery while visiting Sonoma in August. We recently raved about the Pinot we enjoyed over Thanksgiving, but we had a whole flight of awesome wines from a big Cab to a totally unique sparkling Gewurtz. This is the QPR, "value" Zin put out by the winery, and it's an easy-drinking, no-brainer sort of quaffer I can't get enough of. They also produce much more serious RRV and single vineyard Zins that were as impressive as just about any others we tried out there, with the possible exceptions of those by Scherrer and Swan.

Bright ruby color, with gobs of reb berry fruit on the nose and palate. Juicy acidity picks up the finish, which is clean and offers just a bit of red spices. Fun to drink, and the bottle went bye-bye in a big hurry. I can't imagine it not producing a smile. Ran about $16 at the winery after case discount. 14.2% alc.
