Definately an atypical old vine zin. Refined instead of brash...smooth instead of swarthy..lush instead of brambly. Nose reminded me of what a zin would smell like if it were a St. Emilion. Taste had notes of red cherries instead of mountain strawberries and the lite spices were more on the order of cinnamon than allspice. Very enjoyable drink but not at all what I envisioned to come. ??/22 by the box. 13.5% alc. WW

I've noticed that Dry Creek Zins have changed over the past 4 or so vintages. Soft, and elegant, but no stuffin'. Prices still remain $15 to $25...I've stopped buying.
