They just seem to get better and better. Fruit forward brambly zin with the lushness of petite sirah, moderately tannic with earthy hints, cinnamon, dark chocolate, red fruits, spice, all spice and other flavors I don't know if I could describe...delicious. 13.5% Alc/vol. $12

One of my all time favorites, well maybe not the 32 since I haven't tried it yet but I believe there's only been one version I didn't care for except I can't find the notes so I can't say which it was, but the blend looks great though different than a few years ago when it was the usual Zin with Syrah and Mourvedre. Hey, Georgie, how's that for a run on sentence. Anyway, I have to be sure to get some, as well as the Jaboulet Parallel 45.

Never had this before, but took a bottle to an evening cook-out at a friend's house, and it was a huge hit. This is very good juice, and at the price, I'll be back over on Monday to put together a larger purchase. My local Whole Foods just started carrying this about a month ago.

After expanding production on new lots each year for the past few years, Marietta has put a cap on production. Father and son who run the winery put family values before profit, and although that means that the likelihood of running out of stock on each new lot may be high, the quality will be better in the best years. IMHO it's a good trade-off, and I'll be getting a case of the lot 32 while it's available.
