This exquisite old vine zinfandel vineyard from the original holdinds of Louis Martini was originally planted in the 1880s'( Yep! 1880). The cabernets and zins from this prime property produce some of the finest wines in all of Calif. This is no exception. Deep ruby, with no bricking. Nose of brambly, red raspberry, strawberry fruits, with a bakers cocoa component, and all come over on the palate. So balanced that you don't notice the 16.6% alc. Solid 4 lapper finish. Needs another 1-3. 90/88. 39 by the box. WW

An OOPS! opening. Thot I was opening and trying the 03. Had both in the same bin. No change in scoring or tasting notes. Really good juice. WW
