14.2% alcohol
Dark red-purple in color, the wine was somewhat dense in appearance. It was viscous, forming legs on the side of the glass. The zin gave off an attractive blackberry/zinberry aroma. In the mouth it was maybe slightly less attractive than the nose with a peppery finish; it seemed to be highly extracted or leesy. This zin packs a powerful punch; not elegant, but a pretty good match for broiled burger with garlic salt and finely chopped onions and Worcestershire or steak sauce. I had a side dish of spinach/sour cream bake.
