Took the folks out to dinner at the Flamingo Cafe overlooking the Destin Harbor in Destin, Florida. Beautiful restaurant with a nice, and reasonably priced, wine list.

Very Dark, almost opaque, royal purple with tinges of dark ruby. Nose of black cherry and alcohol. Flavors of black cherry, zin berry, touch of sweet oak and chocolate. Very balanced and slightly hot on the medium length finish. 14.9%Alc/vol. Paid $31, which I thought was a good restaurant price.
Nice wine.

This is one of my favorite "everyday" wines, although at $13.00 it is pushing my limit for a daily drinker. I too discovered this one dining at a restaurant. Went on the hunt the next day and found two cases. I'm down near one case left and hoping something else comes along to replace it. Maybe the 99 vintage Rancho Zabaco????
