Very dark in the glass with a muted nose of zinberry and a litte toased oak. Thankfully the oak doesn't show as much in the flavor as it does in the nose. Very richly flavored showing the brambly, earthy side of Zin with the fruit richness of old vines. The acidity was lacking enough to give the impression of a flabby wine. This wine is either made in the "drink me now" style or flawed, for my tastes, by the low acidity but is easy drinking and a good picnic wine for non serious drinkers. 14.5%Alc/vol. I paid $13 at an overpriced/small shop and I'm sure it can be found for around $10.
