- chebejef - 04-01-2002 I'm a novice who knows absolutely nothing about wine. A friend asked me to pick up a few bottles of Crane Lake Merlot. Have tried to find but haven't yet. Has anyone heard of it, where available, how much, and do you think much of it? Thanks - Kcwhippet - 04-02-2002 I'm pretty sure this is one of those restaurant only labels, and that means you won't be able to find it in a retail shop. - Drew - 04-02-2002 It seems to have been a Chilean produced wine, a project headed by Gary Ramona who now works for Classic Wines of California.
