Hey there! I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good wine to drink with a cheese fondue. It will mostly be bread that we will be dipping in the cheese sauce. Thank you!

The classic match is a Swiss Fendant (aka Chasselas, a white). In the same vein, a dry Loire white, either SB (Sancerre, Quincy, Menetou Salon) or Chenin Blanc (Savennieres, Samur, Vouvray) would work.

A light red with good acidity, like a Beaujolais Villages, would be another alternative.

Cheers,

Hi Mahone, and welcome to the Wine Board. Use the same Neuchatel that you should be making it with. If you can't find it, and you should be able in Tampa, a Gruner Veltliner will do.

Thanks! I'm looking forward to trying your suggestions.
