Over at KC's for a few days with the kids, and he took us to the wine shop. Picked up a couple of bottles, this and Downing Family Fly By Night Zin- will post on that later.
Very fruity merlot, smells of plums. Taste black cherry, cross b/w dark chocolate and mocha, and spice. Medium tannins.
Blended with 10% Cab and 5% Malbec. 14.4% alc.
Very nice wine. Should age well 5-7yrs.

Nice notes, CG. Makes the wine sound really inviting. I have heard good things about Canoe Ridge in the past.

I really enjoy the wines from Canoe Ridge Winery also, it's a Chalone Winery. That's why I picked it. I was wondering what CCK thought of it. Haven't seen any posts from her lately.
