The Vancouver International Wine Festival gets underway here in BC this week. According to a local wine columnist, the Matanzas Creek 2001 Merlot, which is one of the wines being showcased, is rated a "best value". It will sell here in British Columbia for (gasp !) $52.00 Canadian.
Any comments on this wine? Is it worth approx $32.00 US ?

Haven't had the 01 but the 99 was pretty tasty for a Merlot. I've kinda ignored this property since Merry left. WW
