Ram's Reserve, Marlborough, NZ.

Dark garnet in color, nose of raspberry preserves and plum. Flavors follow nose, adding some tart bing cherry on the finish. Very soft and flavorful, but a shorter finish than I would like. Not bad, but not terribly complicated, either. A shorter-term drinker -- I wouldn't sit on it very long. Alc. 13.5%, paid $18 locally. FWIW, WE 86. They say drink soon, too. Anne liked it, and also liked the sheep on the label. Perhaps one has to do with the other.

Had another of these at our porch gathering this weekend. Still a nice P/Q Pinot Noir, and a fleshier example than some of the NZ ones, which can seem a bit thin, from my experience. No changes in the TN. Finish may have improved a touch -- didn't seem as short this time.
