Popped this last night as been on sabbatical for several weeks. Classic Barossa, Southern Australia shiraz. Nice spicy blackberry, juicy cherry (mid palate), tar, earthy nuances and a touch of toasty oak. Medium bodied this fruit driven, moderately complex shiraz was delicious. Still could go another 5 years of cellering with no problem. 14.4% Alc/vol. $15.

RP Sez:
"The potent, heady, dense ruby/purple-hued 2003 Shiraz Shotfire Ridge reveals a classic South Australian perfume of blackberries, licorice, pepper, and earth. More firmly structured with more noticeable tannin than the 2002, it is a medium to full-bodied, fruit-filled, attractive Shiraz to consume over the next 2-3 years. 89 points"
