Purplish ruby with bricking at the edges. Nose of toasty plum, one-dimensional. Very upfront dark fruit, sweet tasting... almost cloying, a little vanilla with a moderate finish and very smooth. A good BBQ wine for the masses but not complex and nothing like the '98. Buy it for parties but not for analyzing or deep thought. 74% Shiraz, 26% Cab. 13.5% Alc/vol. $8.99
