From Pemberton in Western Australia
Blend - 45% Cab Sauv. 40% Merlot 13% Petite Verdot 2% Cab Franc

Great cherry nose, fresh cherries with just a minute touch of smoke. Palate continues these cherry notes with a bit of spice on the mid-palate. Very slight touch of earth here also. Medium body. Nice acidity. Well balanced.

Opened and left without the cork for just over 4 hours before I tasted. Still evolving, this wine is wonderful now. It's made in the "old world" style completely. It is not powerful, but graceful.

These Western Australian wines continue to impress me as of just a couple years ago I had NO appreciation of this area at all. The whites = Burgundy and the reds = Bordeaux. OK, not quite, but very, very close......
