2005 Culley, Pinot Noir, Marlborough ($11.99 Southern Hemisphere Wines). Alcohol level: 13.5%. It is another great value in a Pinot. It gives you red cherries, other red fruit, and plums on the nose and upfront. In the middle you get nice mouth feel with more red fruit, some spiciness including cinnamon, and just the right amount of oak giving a toasty edge. The finish is persistent and very nice.

We matched it with grilled boneless pork chops with a BBQ rub, over charcoal and soaked oak chips; rice pilaf, and baby peas. It all amounted to a lovely dinner.

Another tonight with Eggplant Pizza. Great!

Still holding its own with grillpanned boneless pork chops, bread sticks, and sliced Brandywine tomatoes. Nice Monday night.
