A blend of 61% Shiraz, 24% Cab Franc and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. A WOW wine. Beautiful opaque, glass staining black purple. Big nose of blueberry, blackberry, cassis, toffee with hints of raspberry, coffee, tar and chocolate. Multi layered and complex with ample fine grained tannins and a finish that lasted 40+ seconds showing a little heat from the 14.5% Alcohol. My only bottle shared between three of us and served with Filet Mignon. Doesn't get much better than this. The winemakers were the infamous Sarah and Sparky Marquis. $22 in 2000.
