82% Grenache and 18% Shiraz. Medium garnet with purple tinges. Raspberries and brite fruit on the palate. A soft, pretty wine, almost pinot like. This paired wonderfully with a tropical dish of marinated chicken with a side serving of strawberries with balsamic vinegar. I hear the 2001 version is very good but haven't seen it yet in this area. $14. 14%Alc/vol.

I have really enjoyed some previous vintages, but was disappointed by one (can't remember which year). A lovely name for a winery, eh?

I am sure that I am late to the party on praising grenache, but it is a wonderful primary wine.
