2002 Jacob’s Creek, Shiraz-Cabernet (51-49), S.E. Australia, ($7.99 Local Super). Alcohol level 13.8%. Ripe red fruit and plums! (with no Merlot!) on the nose and upfront. It showed fairly nice complexity, mellow tannin, and subdued oak across the palate, and a decent finish. Matched it with very nice Salisbury Steak with mushroom sauce, and Blue Cheese dressing.
