My 1st experience with this kick-patootie bottling. 45% Merlot,35% Shiraz, and 20% Cabernet. Expansive fruit with loads of aromatics, white pepper, cassis, cocoa, earth, and red and black fruits. Great mouthfeel with assertive entry, solid center and a 4+-lapper finish. Needs at least another 2-4 to resolve some smooth tannins. Beautifully balanced. I'm looking for the next release of this beauty. 91/92. 30 by the box. 14.5% alc. WW

Had so much fun with the Shiraz from this producer decided to have this last nite with the same Tri-Tip. Another impressive bottle from this venerable producer. The nose has expanded and the marriage of the three graapes is complete. Solid effort. No change in scoring. WW
