An inexpensive Australian Riesling was the white white offering at our Christmas dinner (I contributed the red wine, 2001 Willowbrook Owl Ridge Pinot Noir, Russian River Valley).
Quite a nice white wine that went well with the turkey and chestnut dressing. Good color and clarity. I didn't take notes at the time but seem to recall that it suggested pears to me (I believe website claims more exotic fruits). Drew has reported on the Coopers Creek Unoaked Chardonnay which he liked.
