D picked this up on a junket with her sisters in the Texas Hill Country a few weeks ago, and we finally decided to try it last night with pork roast in a Spanish style (lots of chipotle peppers and sauce with wild rice). Deep purple in the glass - I'm thinking this thing is gonna be a masive fruit bomb - but surprise! Nice, floral but restrained nose, moderate bite on the palate, good mouthfeel, nice finish.... and very good match with the food. She was proud of herself for having found a winner. 13% alc/vol and about $22.
