- Glass_A_Day - 01-01-2006 A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Sangiovese and what a blend it was. Wine of the night that was a contradiction. It's hard to find a bottle that offers lots of bright red fruit up front like a zin or syrah blend that is followed by a huge complex dark brooding finish that is more reminiscent of a good Bordeaux or cab blend. Beautiful stuff that I would have never bought, but it came in the flight that I bought from the winery in 02 along with the Elevation 1147, regular cab, and a chard. Chard was weak and I haven't gotten to the cabs yet, but if this blend is representative, I am excited about what's to come. 95 GAD points. - winoweenie - 01-01-2006 I love Davids wines. Think you'll like the evevation. WW |
