- jerijamo - 12-23-2003 Im cooking a goose for xmas whats a good inexpensive wine that will piar well with it? - Innkeeper - 12-23-2003 Hi Jerijamo, and welcome to the Wine Board. We're have a nice Saumur-Champigny with ours. Any nice cabernet franc or cabernet franc based wine will do nicely. - Drew - 12-23-2003 IK is right on and let me add any good Cotes du Rhone or CDP would pair nicely. Drew - Jackie - 12-28-2003 I've heard Asti Spumante goes very well with goose. It's readily available in most markets and is not expensive. Another idea is a sparkling shiraz from Australia Depending on the flavors of stuffing and other side dishes (mushrooms, wild rice, etc.), I would a Chateauneuf-du-Pape or Rhone would go well too. |
