Im cooking a goose for xmas whats a good inexpensive wine that will piar well with it?

Hi Jerijamo, and welcome to the Wine Board. We're have a nice Saumur-Champigny with ours. Any nice cabernet franc or cabernet franc based wine will do nicely.

IK is right on and let me add any good Cotes du Rhone or CDP would pair nicely.

I've heard Asti Spumante goes very well with goose. It's readily available in most markets and is not expensive. Another idea is a sparkling shiraz from Australia

Depending on the flavors of stuffing and other side dishes (mushrooms, wild rice, etc.), I would a Chateauneuf-du-Pape or Rhone would go well too.
